My name is Laraine Bateman and I love to create. My passions are photography, football and design. I am a fanatical Dulwich Hamlet supporter and I mostly photograph their matches, but I do like to take pictures of other stuff, too.

The name 'Kerrie's Friend' is a nod to my oldest friend Kerrie, who I had met in nursery school. We were both nursery age at the time! There will be occasional references to goofy things we got up to as kids (quite often as big kids.)

I have always had an interest in art and photography, and briefly dabbled in video production when I was in my teens. I reignited my passion for photography in 2008 when I was given a Pentax Spotmatic II film camera and lots (and lots) of out of date film. I have since switched to digital, though I occasionally dust off the film camera as I love the smell of it. I mostly use a Canon 450D, though recently I have acquired and have been using my father's Nikon D80 just to confuse myself. For my football photography I use a Canon 7D, though it is technically not mine (though I have permission to use it!)

I am looking at broadening my subject range. In addition to Dulwich Hamlet FC, I am looking to visit other non-league football grounds to shoot games, and maybe take on a more documentary-style to non-league football culture as inspired by photographers I have met in the last few years shooting at Champion Hill. Shooting this style of photography will hopefully improve my confidence shooting people in other situations and environments that I would not typically be comfortable shooting in.

Well, I hope you like what you see. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your queries, suggestions, or requests.
